Drawing workshops for children aged 8–12

A fun and creative introduction to drawing, designed to help children develop their artistic skills, imagination and visual awareness through engaging drawing exercises and creative activities.

The classes encourage children to observe the world around them, experiment with shapes and lines, and discover how to turn simple ideas into their own unique drawings.

Course Programme

The programme combines simple drawing techniques with imaginative exercises that develop creativity, observation skills and spatial awareness.

1. Shapes Around Us

• Discovering basic geometric shapes in everyday objects.

• Learning to break down complex objects into simple forms.

• Understanding proportions, shapes and basic composition.

• Drawing familiar objects using simple geometric structures.

2. Portrait Drawing

• Exploring facial features and proportions.

• Drawing expressive faces and different emotions.

• Creating imaginative and playful character portraits.

3. Animals

• Learning to observe and draw animals using basic shapes.

• Exploring animal proportions, movement and body structure.

• Creating imaginative animal characters and illustrations.

4. Plants & Nature

• Drawing flowers, leaves, trees and other natural elements.

• Exploring organic shapes, patterns and textures.

• Developing observation skills through nature-inspired drawing exercises.

  Materials

  Drawing materials needed during the classes will be provided.

  Children are welcome to bring their own sketchbook to collect their drawings and observe their artistic progress throughout the course.
